painting presentation and handing over

Christoph Broelsch, winner of the "Hope & Give paintings" in week 28 came to see his two paintings at our studio. After watching the presented paintings for a short second he said spontaneously: "The second painting I will give to my grandchild Carla!"

Christoph´s hope was:
I hope, that one day God's curse falls on the flats of the violent and the houses of the righteous will be blessed.

At the same time, as Christoph Broelsch and his wife Bianka are also sponsors of the project, we had the pleasure to handle over their "your-name-becomes-immortal-perk".

Thank you very much for your kind donation. With your contribution and from all the sponsors, we can realize this "Hope & Give" project. Until now we received the amount for 96 paintings, means 48 people will get their "two paintings of hope", one to keep and one to give to another person they want to share hope.

(This was in May 2016)

Yesterday we had now the big pleasure to meet Carla, her brother and parents and to give over the painting.

lottery 34

This week we had the big pleasure to draw the winner again with some of our sponsors, workshop participants and friends: Ora Haushner, Anat Halevy and Dorit Lavy. We had 4 applicants and the winner is from Switzerland, Paul Boesch, (backer himself).

His hope is: "I hope solar-power will increase, and we get away from mineral oil. That's my goal for the moment!"
Dear Paul, Congratulation!

We will send a few questions to Paul.
After his reply Peter will start creating the two paintings:
one most individual for him, which will be a creative interpretation of his hope incorporating his answers to our questions
and another one, which will be Peter´s comment to his hope, so to say.

The first painting is for Paul himself to keep and the second painting will be given away by him to someone he wants to communicate with about their hopes.

All the other charming applicants remain in the hat (see the list of all below)
and the next lottery will take place next week.

Please be so kind to spread the word about this project and invite as many people as possible to participate.
Thank you so much!

painting presentation

Ragnhild "Irene" Meijer from Norway receives her two paintings, inspired by her hope:

"I hope for a better world, that it can be peace on earth.
I hope we all can use less, so it will be enough for everybody."

Ragnhild gave her second painting to her friend Petra Kampmann.

And this is Petra´s answer:

"By meditating on your painting during several days, dear Peter, I created following HOPE:
May the light, that we try to keep  in our center, will  not be extinguished by the polarity, in which we have to live on this planet."

I really feel lucky, having this painting and thank you very much, dear Peter !
I appreciate your idea of HOPE !

Today we had lottery 18 for HOPE & GIVE with 13 applicants in the hat. The winner today is our good friend Ines Hughes in Alabama/USA.

"I hope that awareness will overpower comfort."

Dear Ines, Congratulation!

We will send a few questions to Ines.

After her reply Peter will start creating the two paintings:

one most individual for her, which will be a creative interpretation of her hope incorporating her answers to our questions

and another one, which will be Peter´s comment to her hope, so to say.

The first painting is for Ines herself to keep and the second painting will be given away by Ines to someone she wants to communicate with about their hopes.

All the other charming applicants remain in the hat (see the list of all below)

and the next lottery will take place next week.

Please be so kind to spread the word about this project and invite as many people as possible to participate.

Thank you so much!

Heidi+Peter

“We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.”

A few minutes ago, thinking about what we could do in order to give our project powerful wings, I run into this quotation of ANAÏS NIN. (It's a small poster among others in my studio.)
It hit and encouraged me.

In the last two weeks we have been luckely touched with the imagination, the generosity and the friendship of many human beings. (Sixty gave 5.575 USD, the cost for 49 paintings. Thanks a lot.)

In the last two weeks we have been touched, attentively, with some hundreds of misunderstandings, misinterpretations, some other "mis".
But the "mis" is just dust on the surface. Much deeper those people just see the things, the world, their existence as they are.
We can not change that. But we can promise: We will give a year of our lives for "HOPE & GIVE". And realize it. Make it happen. Love it.
And to thank you all.

PS: 730 paintings we'll give away. So right now? Just the cost for 681 paintings left.

PPS: Feelings the wings?
